- Trained optician in Soc Trang, Vietnam
- Family optical practice established in 1991
- Independent editorial standards and disclosed affiliate links
My father opened our family optical practice in Soc Trang in 1991, the year I was born. The shop and I grew up together, but that does not mean I have 34 years of personal fitting experience.
What I do have is a trained optician’s view of the details that determine whether a pair works in daily life: prescription, monocular PD, fitting height, frame position, corridor design, and the way a person actually uses distance, screen, and reading vision.
Why I built Lens InsiderS
People often see progressive lenses as a list of upgrades with no clear way to judge them. A higher price may pay for a more flexible design or a better remake policy. It may also pay for a brand name or a package that does not solve the buyer’s real problem.
Lens InsiderS translates those choices into questions you can use before ordering.
What this site is
This is an independent editorial guide for adults comparing progressive and everyday lenses. Articles explain what a feature changes, who may benefit, what the tradeoffs are, and what to ask the prescribing or dispensing professional.
Some pages may use affiliate links. If you buy through one of those links, Lens InsiderS may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. That relationship is disclosed on the page and next to paid links.
What this site is not
Lens InsiderS does not diagnose eye conditions, replace an eye examination, or tell you to ignore symptoms. Product information and retailer policies can change. Confirm current prescription requirements, pricing, remake policy, and return terms before buying.
Editorial standard
Technical claims should point to primary research, professional organizations, or original manufacturer documentation. Buying opinions should state the fitting reason behind them. A cheaper option should be recommended when it is enough for the stated need.
No brand pays for placement. Sponsored articles and undisclosed free products are not accepted.
